one: Yellow Striped Polo, $78 / two: Red Striped Polo, $78 / three: White Striped Polo, $78

With the start of the PGA Championship this week, it is only appropriate that today's BFTB post be related to men's golf wear--more specifically, the polo.  Let's face it, the polo shirt has been a staple of the male wardrobe for years and yet it is often left unappreciated by the fashion demi-gods. Well, Criquet would like to change all that.   Founded in Austin, TX by Billy Nachman and Hobson Brown, Criquet has been bringing the best in vintage inspired, organic cotton polos to country clubs nationwide since 2010.

And while I can't say first hand that I've worn one, I can say that the assortment pays dutiful homage to the golden age of American sportswear--think Arnold Palmer in 1975 or Tom Watson, 1980 (above). I think it's the wonderfully thrifted feel of these striped numbers--they feel feel perfectly retro chic.   So whether you're a Tiger fan or a Phil lover (me!) go ahead and check them out, your closet will be thankful and your caddie, jealous.

  1. Polos are a staple in any man's wardrobe. They are versatile and light, and can be dressed up or down according to the occasion and these are such a lovely polo stuff for men,I must say.
