Ever since I started this blog, I have found there to be seemingly endless sources of inspiration. I expected the usual--other blogs, fashion magazines, websites, social media but I've found that there are so many more. Old cars parked along the side of the road (ah-hem), house sales, vintage National Geographic magazines. It has made me realize something I guess I already knew but had never really acknowledged--I am equal parts invested in the ways of the past as I am the ways of the future. I love exploring new technologies (i.e. The Skimm, Mailbox) but I also love the simplicity, style, and personality of the past. The colors, the craftsmanship the apparent easy of life. Just another contradiction of this Broho lifestyle.
So why am I telling you all this? Well, all that reflection came together once I looked at this photo. I saw a scene, similar to the modern day 4th of July photos from ACK always populating my newsfeed, but yet different and I felt inspired--to travel, to explore, to meet new people. And it made me realize that the next 'new' thing, doesn't always have to be 'new,' sometimes it just needs to be remembered. I know, deeeeeep.
